In India, there are specialists who, even as children, demonstrate the ability to read the human aura, and after many years of training, begin working in jewelry stores. There, they scan the aura and recommend stones that are beneficial for a person's current state.
Another way is through recommendations in different systems, such as Feng Shui or astrology.
The deepest system that has explored and recommended protective remedies for many centuries is Vedic astrology. Its two most important goals are:
- The first is to help a person become aware of their personality, strengths and weaknesses, talents, natural inclinations, flaws, and inherent potential difficulties.
- The second is related to offering people specific remedial measures through which everyone can shape their own destiny. - Crucial to the effectiveness of kavachas is the exact timing of the engraving. The ideal moment to engrave highly effective kavachas occurs extremely rarely. In most years, there are at most two such windows, lasting no longer than 10 to 20 minutes. During these windows, both the houses and the planets are free from negative influences while simultaneously supported by functionally positive planets. A yantra created at such a moment will be exceptionally potent and will enhance positive factors in a horoscope.
- The location of crafting also impacts the medallion's effectiveness. Sacred sites around the Earth and locations with proven sources of power and strong positive energy are best suited. It is equally important that the place and time of crafting are aligned with the help of astrology.
- The consciousness and personality of the person crafting the engraving greatly influence its efficacy. Thus, yantras should be crafted by individuals who lead a spiritual life.
- The moment a kavacha is worn for the first time is calculated by a Vedic astrologer and is vital.
- Wearing an incorrectly calculated or crafted kavacha can amplify the influence of a negative planet and cause trouble.
