Forecasts for future events - Astrological forecast

Future Events in Astrology

Astrological forecasts are the branch that has both attracted and frightened people the most for centuries. Each of us has heard of astonishingly scary or precise predictions made by astrologers throughout the ages. Very often, people are even afraid to consult an astrologer for fear of hearing something fatal and terrifying that they will have to live with. Unfortunately, there are also many people truly frightened by manipulatively crafted predictions. Aside from the fact that I have never seen such predictions come true, in most cases they are not even based on real astrology.

Predictive astrology. Future events.

I personally always tell my frightened clients that I would ask the respective predictor to show me where exactly this is written. After all, astrology is a science, meaning it deals with documented rules. Another part of the clients, usually men, are afraid at first that someone or something will start controlling their lives or that predictions will create programs by which they will subconsciously start acting. If it were that easy to make our lives better with subconscious suggestions, I suppose astrologers would act more like Santa Claus.

Nowadays there are also other opinions - many supporters of the New Age are convinced that they can manage their lives with thought-forms and completely deny this huge part of astrology. They believe that in the New Age it is unnecessary and very old-fashioned to predict. I suppose they would be very right if we really had a more serious contact with our Higher self and could accept the vicissitudes of life with full trust. Until we reach this enlightened state of consciousness, however, most of us still need some kind of guidebook or weather forecast.

The first thing that is good to know is that predictions in the horoscope happen with some probability - 100% predictability can never be reached. According to research by American astrologers, well-done horary astrology reaches 80-85% probability. According to my clients, in annual horoscopes where things are more precise, 70-80% predictability of events is reached. If someone claims that they can give perfectly accurate predictions for an event, then they are either incompetent or a fraud.

Because of this, predictions that threaten us with some personal disasters should not be taken seriously either. Astrology cannot describe the event so precisely. It describes the nature of the event or the possible change, the areas of life that will be affected by this change, and the time interval in which this will happen, and this is almost always accurate. When an event happens, many astrologers will explain based on astrological dependencies why this happened, but the case with its preliminary forecasting is not exactly like that. Astrology works with many factors, many things are taken into account simultaneously, especially if you use several methods at once, without which you cannot achieve precision.

The human mind cannot encompass and weigh all these factors and so much information at once. Therefore, the astrologer must make a decision based on part of the factors, which in fact affects the accuracy. Besides, people have free will to use or not use the tendencies in the horoscope - it is possible to have a tendency for marriage in this year, but this exact partner might not be the prince you have been waiting for years. Very often all of us act unconsciously according to some models laid down from childhood or past lives and do not see the possibilities at all at the moment. And how we will take advantage of the tendencies in the horoscope depends on our level of perceiving life, on the level at which we function. If we have let ourselves sink into chronic depression, apathy, and alcohol, how can we grab the opportunities of even the most wonderful transits of Uranus? And vice versa - when we have a stable profession and know what we are capable of, even the heaviest planetary influences will only temporarily block or hinder our ambitions and opportunities for success.

And yet astrology works with what "can happen", with what happens in an amazingly large number of cases, without all this being connected to the fact of whether we believe or do not believe in it. Predictions achieve much greater accuracy when the specific conditions in a person's life and their past experience are taken into account, when it is known what goals they currently have. Many people think it is good not to give information to the astrologer or at least test them the first time. This is reasonable, but it can waste your time and accuracy. The horoscope is a set of possibilities and the astrologer is not a clairvoyant who sees where exactly you are at the moment and which resources you have chosen to use so far.

Another question is what and how far ahead it makes sense to predict. In my opinion, most predictions make sense within no more than 5-6 years, since we cannot see any real things for ourselves beyond this interval and usually do not make plans and projects for the future exceeding this time. In addition, when making predictions, several combined methods should be used - transits, at least two progression systems, solar revolutions, lunar months. Very often beginners in astrology try to predict based only on transits or only on directions and are disappointed with the results. But astrology reflects life itself with its diverse and contradictory possibilities and events, so there are no astrological rules that always come true 100%.
Detailed annual horoscopes are very useful when we are already planning some things for the year and want to know how events will be distributed in time. When specific questions are asked, the tools of horary and electional astrology or synastry, which takes into account the interaction of the two horoscopes, are also necessary.

It is also good to know what the sensible zones of using astrology are. I would not bet my career in a totally new direction if I do not have an inner conviction and have not thought through my potential, just because someone told me that a certain job is laid out in my horoscope and will be very successful for me. Astrology after all is for thinking people, not for the naive or those looking for a leader. Also, it usually takes time - sometimes a year - before we realize how exactly to use predictions and how to arrange our actions according to them in order to be effective. In many cases, the best option to influence our destiny is by choosing the most appropriate time (the subject of electional astrology) to take action.
Another option is solar revolutions, which determine part of the tendencies for the year and which change according to the place of celebrating the birthday, a topic that I will examine separately.
